2025 International Symposium on Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Equipment Concluded Successfully


The 12th International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Automation and the 2025 International Symposium on Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Equipment was successfully held at the Teaching Auditorium of Xi’an Siyuan University.

In the colorful autumn of Chang’an, talents gathered. From November 7th to 9th, 2025, the 12th International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Automation (IFEEA 2025) was held in Xi’an. As a significant sub-conference of IFEEA 2025, the 2025 International Symposium on Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Equipment (AIIE 2025) was hosted by Xi’an Siyuan University and Chang’an University and organized by the School of Engineering, Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, Office of Scientific Research, and the Shaanxi Provincial University Engineering Research Center for Additive Manufacturing Technology and Applications at Xi’an Siyuan University. The conference attracted expert scholars from renowned universities both domestically and internationally, as well as R&D personnel from enterprises and engineering technicians, to focus on the latest research achievements in the field of artificial intelligence and intelligent equipment, enabling academic innovation and industrial application.


AIIE 2025 featured keynote speeches, oral presentations of conference papers, and poster exhibitions, aiming to provide an international and professional platform for academic exchanges for global scholars and experts engaged in "artificial intelligence" and "intelligent equipment" research and industry applications. Participants shared cutting-edge research achievements, discussed technology development trends, and promoted the deep integration of academic innovation and industrial applications. The conference received over 70 high-level academic papers from experts and scholars, of which 46 were compiled into the conference proceedings and published.

On the afternoon of November 8th, the opening ceremony of AIIE 2025 was grandly held, presided over by Vice President Zhao Mingyu. Vice President Wan Ming delivered the welcome address, extending a warm welcome on behalf of President Zhou Yanbo and all faculty and students to the expert scholars attending the conference. He also expressed heartfelt gratitude to all colleagues who have long supported the development of the university and innovation in the field of artificial intelligence. Vice President Wan Ming noted that the convergence of technological revolution and industrial transformation is currently facing technical bottlenecks, creating opportunities for solving problems and promoting achievements at this conference. Xi’an Siyuan University, positioned to strengthen through engineering and innovation, has established "enhancing undergraduate education and pursuing master's degree programs" as part of its core strategy for the Fifteenth Five-Year Plan, promoting high-quality development following the 133863 construction roadmap. In recent years, the university has established high-level research platforms such as the Key Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence and the Additive Manufacturing Research Center, undertaken several provincial-level key scientific research projects, and achieved fruitful results in areas such as intelligent perception and high-end equipment intelligence. The university deepens the integration of production, education, research, and application, establishing training bases with renowned enterprises to promote the transformation of innovation achievements. The university is at a critical period of upward development and looks forward to forming academic communities and industrial collaboration alliances with all sectors to jointly tackle key technologies, cultivate top talents, and contribute Siyuan's strength to technological advancement and regional industrial upgrading.

The keynote speech session was presided over by Professor Song Xuding, Dean of the School of Engineering at Xi’an Siyuan University. Five leading experts from home and abroad delivered keynote speeches, sharing cutting-edge achievements based on their academic accumulation and research results, combining both theoretical height and practical value, resonating deeply with the audience. Vice Presidents Wan Ming and Zhao Mingyu, Assistant to the President Dong Hangyuan, and Director of the Office of International Cooperation and Exchange Li Wanchun presented certificates to the experts.

Professor He Maogang, Executive Deputy Dean of the Graduate School at Xi’an Jiaotong University and a leading scholar in the field of engineering thermophysics, delivered a report themed "High-Temperature and High-Pressure Fluid Thermal Property Measurement, Prediction, and Molecular Design". He systematically introduced the team’s research achievements over decades and proposed non-contact optical methods to improve measurement accuracy of thermal properties and described changes based on molecular-level mechanisms, integrating data-driven and machine-learning techniques for the design of new working fluids, providing core support for the innovation and development of new theories and methods for measuring and predicting thermal properties.

Professor Giancarlo Fortino from the University of Calabria, Italy, IEEE Fellow 2022, Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering, and Senior Researcher at the ICAR-CNR Institute, delivered a remote presentation titled "Toward Generative Digital Twins: A New Paradigm of AI-Driven IoT". He clearly defined the core concept of "Generative Digital Twin (GDT)", revealed the role of General Artificial Intelligence (Gen-AI) in harmonizing model-driven and data-driven approaches in the development of Digital Twins (DTs), and analyzed the additional value of mainstream Gen-AI architectures and development approaches, aiming to maximize the efficiency and performance of Digital Twins in the edge-cloud continuum in the IoT domain, with smart city and smart manufacturing scenarios verifying the potential of GDT to enable efficient IoT operations.

Professor Ma Hongwei, Dean of the Institute of Intelligent Mining at Western Mines, Doctoral Supervisor, and a pioneEr in the field of intelligent mining, focused on the theme "Four Strategies Lead AI Empowerment for Solid Advancement of Coal Mining Robot High-Quality Development". His report detailed key technologies such as intelligent detection by coal mining robots and human-machine collaborative systems, explaining development paths for high-quality advancement of coal mining robots, and providing solutions for the transformation of the coal industry.

Professor Ding Kai, Deputy Dean of the School of Engineering Machinery at Chang’an University, delivered a report titled "Scene Perception and Dynamic Decision-Making Technology for Human-Machine Collaborative Assembly Systems Oriented to Intelligent Manufacturing". Addressing issues of environmental dynamism and task uncertainty in assembling complex products, he proposed a behavior perception method fusing skeletal-RGB videos and a component perception plan guided by focus-of-attention, constructing a cross-modal perception method driven by vision-language models; he also developed model fine-tuning technology integrating domain knowledge and reasoning chain prompts, enhancing the generalization capability of human-machine collaborative perception decision-making.

Professor Zong Xuewen of Xi’an Siyuan University, a renowned expert in the field of additive manufacturing, delivered a report titled "Research on Industrialized Intelligent Drying Technology for Goji", directly addressing industry challenges such as the degradation of thermosensitive substances and easy hydrolysis and oxidation of fresh fruits due to traditional drying methods. He analyzed needs in technology, equipment, and processes, combining cases to detail key technologies in intelligent mobile drying, providing technical pathways for green intelligent upgrading of the Goji industry.

During the oral presentation session of conference papers, five paper authors shared their research findings. Master’s graduate student Sun Keke from Chang’an University presented "Research on Control Methods of Front-End Rectifiers of Onboard Chargers", Master’s graduate student Feng Jinrong shared "Performance Model Predictive Current Control of Dual Three-Phase Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor for Electric Vehicles", Senior Engineer Han Song from the Chinese Power Construction Group Northwest Survey and Design Research Institute Co., Ltd. explained "Methods for Intelligent Data Collection, Monitoring, and Deformation Prediction of Soft Rock Excavation", Chairman Zhang Shukun from Zhan Vision Network (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. discussed "Reconstruction of Talent Systems in the AI Era", and Associate Professor Kang Pengfei from Xi’an Siyuan University reported on "Intelligent Temperature Monitoring System Design for Medium Voltage Switchgear Contacts Based on ZigBee Technology and AI Anomaly Prediction". These presentations showcased the research and exploration achievements in artificial intelligence research and industrial applications by contributing experts, scholars, and enterprise R&D personnel. During the conference, the organizing committee selected and awarded excellent papers to encourage researchers to delve deeply into academia and strive for new heights. The papers "Intelligent Temperature Monitoring System Design for Medium Voltage Switchgear Contacts Based on ZigBee Technology and AI Anomaly Prediction" by Kang Pengfei, "An Improved BP Neural Network with Approximate Prior Vector Inner Product for Real-Time IGBT Junction Temperature Prediction" by Zhang Yu, and "High-Performance Model Predictive Current Control of Dual Three-Phase Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor for Electric Vehicles" by Yan Liming and Feng Jinrong were awarded as excellent papers. Assistant to the President Dong Hangyuan presented certificates for excellent papers to the winners.


Upon the successful completion of various agendas, Professor Song Xuding presided over the closing ceremony and announced the closure of this conference.


This international academic conference's successful hosting provided a cross-border and cross-discipline exchange platform for expert scholars. The detailed and rich presentations by attending experts and scholars provided valuable experience for promoting research and industrial applications in artificial intelligence. Xi’an Siyuan University will take this conference as an opportunity to strengthen international academic cooperation, deepen the integration of "industry-academia-research-application", further enhance its research strength in fields like artificial intelligence and intelligent equipment, inject strong momentum into implementing the "enhancing undergraduate education and pursuing master's degree programs" strategy, and make more contributions to China's technological self-reliance and regional economic and social development.
